Just like Emperor Palpatine, the Star Wars: Rogue Squadron movie might not be dead after all. That’s because Wonder Woman director Patty Jenkins says that she’s back at work on the script for the film.

As spotted by Collider, Jenkins–who also wrote and helmed Wonder Woman 1984–said on the Talking Pictures podcast that she has an agreement with Lucasfilm for Star Wars: Rogue Squadron. With Wonder Woman 3 not happening, the director says she has returned to a galaxy far, far away.

“When [Wonder Woman 3] went away, Lucasfilm and I were like, ‘Oh, we gotta finish this deal.’ We finished the deal right as the strike was happening,” Jenkins said. “So I now owe a draft of Star Wars, and so we will see what happens there. You know, like, who knows?” Read more
